Ashley Johns established Ashwood Kitchens in 2000, his focus being to specialise in handmade, bespoke kitchens, bathrooms and furniture of the highest quality at realistic prices.
Based in Devon, South West England, Ashley works from his workshop and since starting Ashwood Kitchens he has built up a huge portfolio of experience including renovations, entirely new builds as well as working with architects on major projects.

Ashley provides a professional and personable service in the design and build of bespoke kitchens and furniture. He takes a step-by-step approach to his work, which allows him to manage every stage of a project, from concept to completion.
1) Concept
Discuss your ideas, requirements, likes and dislikes.
2) Home Visit
Visit your home to determine dimensions & special features.
3) Build & Install
Build your bespoke kitchen and/or furniture. Your furniture and appliances are installed – including tiling, plumbing, electrical and all other associated services.
4) After Care
Your completed project is thoroughly checked and Ashley will be available for after care calls.
Materials and Method
All cupboards are manufactured from 18mm particle resin bonded board, with a real wood veneer. They are screwed, glued or doweled together.
Base units come complete with adjustable legs to allow for fitting on uneven floors. Wall units are between 300mm and 400mm (internal dimensions) to allow for the storage of your dinner plates.
Drawers are of wooden construction and can include soft-close runners or traditional closing. All open panels and glass-fronted units are usually made from solid wood or a quality wood veneer (depending on the style).
All woodwork, doors, frames etc. are made from the highest quality kiln-dried timber. Timber is only bought where stocks are replanted, which reflects Ashley’s environmentally friendly approach.
